I am amazed that our politicians will not accept what our military is telling them about our needs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran. Every newly elected senator or representative seems to think they are qualified to assess the situation from a military standpoint. We had the Korean conflict beat, also Vietnam, until people like Robert McNamara and Lyndon Johnson gave up. Gen. Douglas MacArthur had the North Koreans beat when Harry Truman stepped in.
Now our left-wing politicians want us to leave Afghanistan.
Our general officers have had years of schooling and experience on how to conduct a war and how to command troops. History is a good example of how politicians have sold out our country in the past.
