PROVO, Utah — The 38th annual Sidney B. Sperry Symposium will be Halloween weekend at BYU.
The symposium, titled \"The Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament,\" will be Oct. 30-31.Elder F. Melvin Hammond,
emeritus member of the Quorum of the Seventy of the LDS Church, will
open the proceedings with a keynote address at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct.
30 in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium.Breakout sessions will
follow that evening and begin again at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Presenters will include faculty from BYU, BYU-Hawaii and the Church
Educational System.
Admission to the symposium is free, and registration is not
