Ghost Whisperer (7 p.m., Ch. 2): One of Eli's patients thinks he is being haunted by his sister's ghost.

Supernanny (7 p.m., Ch. 4): The show returns for a sixth season. And I haven't changed my mind about how inappropriate it is to exploit children for television reality shows. Any television reality show. No matter how well-intentioned the producers and "supernanny" Jo Frost may be, the fact remains that children are indeed being exploited for ratings. And there's so much potential for this sort of thing to end badly. Remember that happy little show about a couple and their eight children? 'Nuff said.

Law & Order (7 p.m., Ch. 5): An abortion protester is suspected when a doctor is murdered.

High school football (7 p.m., Ch. 14): Morgan at Juan Diego

Smallville (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Oliver is drugged and kidnapped.

Women's college volleyball (7 p.m., BYUTV): Utah at BYU

Stargate Universe (7 and 9 p.m., Syfy): The ship is without power and on a collision course with a star.

Ugly Betty (8 p.m., Ch. 4): Marc uses Matt and Amanda to get back at Betty; Daniel meets a new woman at his bereavement group meeting.

Medium (8 p.m., Ch. 5): Allison becomes attached to a baby in the middle of a kidnapping investigation.

Dollhouse (8 p.m., Ch. 13): Sierra's connection to Rossum Corp. leads to murder. The ratings for this show have been horrible, but Fox has promised that the 13 episodes produced for this second (and almost certainly last) season will air. We'll see.

Sanctuary (8 and 10 p.m., Syfy): The team deals with an influx of Abnormals from the destroyed Tokyo and London Sanctuaries.

Numb3rs (9 p.m., Ch. 2): A geneticist's daughter disappears.

Jay Leno (9 p.m., Ch. 5): First lady Michelle Obama joins Leno (via satellite) for his "Ten @ Ten" feature, answering rapid-fire questions. Of course, in this time zone it's "Ten @ Nine" for this struggling show.

Monk (10 p.m., USA): Bitty Schram, who left the show in the middle of the third season (we're now in Season 8), returns as Sharona. She's in town to handle legal issues after her uncle's death — and Monk suspects that death might have been murder. Monk also finds himself torn between Sharona and Natalie (Traylor Howard). Ah, we're going to miss this show when it's gone. (The final episode — a two-parter — is scheduled to air Nov. 27 and Dec. 4.)
