Layton Christian Academy senior Jasmine Porter verbally committed to San Diego State on Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2 guard forward averaged 19.3 ppg as a junior and is the school's all-time leading scorer. She also had offers from Colorado, UNLV, Villanova, Syracuse and Utah State.
Porter, who is also a standout volleyball player, had offers to play volleyball from North Carolina and Penn State.
Porter's father, Bobby, who is the Layton Christian Academy boys basketball coach, said the up-tempo style of basketball that San Diego State plays will be great for her daughter.
