Week 10, as usual, kicks off the 2A postseason and decides region championships, playoff pairings, and, for many teams, the end of the season. With byes this week, Carbon and Snow Canyon have finished their year.

Outright region champions will be decided in four head-to-head matchups: Timpview at Provo (Reg. 7), Park City at Wasatch (10), Morgan at Juan Diego (11) and Milford at Monticello (1A South).

Meanwhile, Kearns at West Jordan, Ben Lomond at Grantsville and Whitehorse at Monument Valley are elimination games. Northridge, Murray, Jordan, East, Richfield and Layton Christian must win or find themselves out of postseason contention.

Eight teams have clinched at least a tie for region championships: Hunter (Reg. 2), Bingham (3), Lone Peak (4), Mountain Crest (5), Highland (6), Springville (8), Hurricane (9) and Rich (1A North).

In addition, San Juan is 2A-East outright champ and Enterprise, Millard and South Sevier are 2A-West co-champions.

Here's a region-by-region rundown of qualifying teams, unfilled berths and likely participants, games that have the most impact in deciding final spots, and region championship possibilities.

Class 5A

Region 1 – In: Davis, Syracuse, Viewmont, Fremont. Open (1): Weber or Northridge

A Weber victory at Northridge guarantees the Warriors a playoff berth for the first time since 2003 and the fourth seed, dropping Fremont to fifth. If Northridge wins, it'll tie with Weber for the fifth spot and force a region playoff game next Tuesday. The Knights haven't missed the playoffs since '96.

Syracuse will grab a share of the region title, the first in its three-year history, by beating Layton. Davis can also claim a piece by defeating Roy; it would be the Darts 28th region championship, but first since '04.

Region 2 – In: Hunter, Cottonwood. Open (2): Skyline, West

Host Murray has to upset Skyline to force a two-way tie (or three-way if West loses to Granger) for the final berth (or two).

Hunter is the top seed and has its first region crown since 2003 and seventh overall. Cottonwood will be the second seed and with a win, can share the league title, which would be its third straight and fifth ever.

Region 3 – In: Bingham, Riverton. Open (1): Kearns-West Jordan winner
