SIGARD, Sevier County — A Wayne County man died in a rollover accident Tuesday.

V. Douglas Snow, who KSL News has reported is a well-known Utah artist who has painted large abstract murals and has local exhibits at the Salt Lake Main Library, was travelling west on state Road 24 near Sigard about 1:30 p.m. Witnesses reported that the vehicle drifted left of the centerline and then overcorrected back to the right, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

UHP reports that the vehicle went off the right shoulder and began to roll, coming to rest on the driver's side. Snow, 82, from Teasdale, Wayne County, was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags deployed, but he sustained fatal injuries and died on scene.

The road was wet and it was raining, the UHP said. Snow's body was sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
