I am a small-business owner and I would like to continue offering health-insurance coverage to my 13 full-time employees. The majority of my employees are young and healthy, yet the insurance premiums have increased about 10 percent annually for the past several years. I am reaching a point where I will no longer be able to offer this coverage and remain competitive in my business.
I am concerned about real health-care reform as long as special-interest groups protect their interests and politicians haggle over which party gets credit. Meanwhile, we small-business owners continue to suffer. It is time to get off politics and pass real reform that offers relief to small businesses.
