Fans can choose July 4 performers

PROVO — Disney sensation Demi Lovato or rock legend Neil Diamond? The Jonas Brothers or The Beach Boys? Whom would you prefer to see at next year's Stadium of Fire celebration in Provo?

Event organizers are offering Facebook and Twitter fans a chance to pick next year's Freedom Festival at Provo performers through an online poll available at www.facebook.com/freedomfestival. Those taking the poll are asked to choose a preferred music genre and then pick their top five choices from a list of 27 performers. Those interested can follow the poll at www.twitter.com/freedmfestprovo.

In November, the number will be pared down to five performers, and another poll will be offered to determine the most popular. Event organizers aren't making any promises beyond stating the festival "will do its very best to book its fans' favorite performers for a future Stadium of Fire event."

Some of the performers on the latest poll include Taylor Swift, David Archuleta, Carrie Underwood, Journey, Donny and Marie Osmond and Bon Jovi.
