W.V. man held on lewdness count
WEST VALLEY CITY — A man who police say walked to a day-care center wearing nothing but a towel, opened the towel and started "doing a little dance" was arrested over the weekend.
Saul Casares, 30, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of two counts of lewdness involving a child and five counts of lewdness.
Casares was arrested after police responded Saturday about 11:30 a.m. to a call reporting a man who had walked from an apartment complex, near 5000 West and 4100 South, wearing only a towel, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan. The man walked to the property line of a nearby day care, opened his towel and did a sort of dance, McLachlan said.
The man then walked back to his apartment complex, sat on a public bench outside the complex and again let his towel hang open as others walked by, McLachlan said.
Officers arrived after the man returned to his apartment, but witnesses pointed out where he had gone. Casares was arrested after several of those who had been flashed identified him, the captain said.
