TOOELE — A single-vehicle rollover Monday sent a Grantsville motorist to the hospital, officials said.
The accident occurred on I-80 west between Wendover and Tooele just after 7 a.m., said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden. The man, who was driving a pickup truck, dozed off and drifted to the left. He overcorrected to the right, but then began to go off of the right side of the roadway. When he tried to overcorrect to the left, the vehicle rolled.
Roden said the man wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to University Hospital in serious condition, but Roden said he didn't believe the man's injuries were life-threatening.
