Gay marriage is not about hospital visitation and inheritance rights. Marriage, for gays and heterosexuals, comes with legal restrictions and expenses that most people today do not want. Equal rights for gays, straights and others can be gained with civil unions for everybody. Get the government out of the marriage business. Leave marriage to the religions, where it should be.
