More than $100K of stolen effects found
MILLCREEK — Two men, including a member of a white supremacist gang, were arrested after a search warrant served by the Salt Lake County SWAT team turned up tens of thousands of dollars of stolen cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
A SWAT team served a search warrant at about 9 p.m. Wednesday near 700 East and 3200 South.
"We received information there may be stolen property at that location," said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson. After conducting surveillance on the house, investigators determined their main target was a member of the Silent Aryan Warriors, or SAW, who was on federal probation.
When the SWAT team served the warrant, the officers found more than $100,000 in stolen property, including a $52,000 pickup truck from Summit County, several motorcycles, high-end bicycles, drug paraphernalia and equipment to commit identification theft, Hutson said.
Brock Case, 34, who Hutson said was a member of SAW, was found with a handgun and ammunition in his vehicle and arrested for investigation of possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. Benjimin Miller, 29, was arrested for investigation of possessing stolen property.
