WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Wolverines travel to Texas this week for a pair of games including a first-place showdown in Great West Conference play against Houston Baptist. The Wolverines (3-9-0, 2-0-0), unbeaten in conference so far, face the Huskies (6-6-1, 2-0-0) for early-season bragging rights in the GWC West Division on Friday at 6 p.m. MT in Houston.

UVU will also face Sam Houston State (5-6-2) in a non-conference match on Sunday at 10 a.m. MT in Huntsville, Texas.

The Wolverines won their first two conference games in convincing fashion last week on the road. UVU first beat North Dakota, 4-1, on Friday and followed that up with a 3-0 shutout at South Dakota on Sunday.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: The Wolverines snapped a two-match losing streak and improved to 5-1 in Great West Conference play with a 25-14, 25-17, 21-25, 25-18 victory over Texas-Pan American Thursday night.

The Wolverines (13-7, 5-1) are now 13-1 all-time against the Lady Broncs and they have now won nine straight matches in the series.

Kayli Broadbent led the Wolverines with a double-double with 23 kills and 11 digs, while Camie Manwill posted a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs. Allyce Jones finished with 10 digs, while Chelsea Fa=B9alogo recorded 29 assists.

Also, Jaicee Kuresa finished with eight kills, while Sarah Clement had six kills and six block assists, and Erica Nish had six kills and two service aces.
