OGDEN — U.S. postal officials announced Thursday that the Ogden Town Station postal facility, 2730 Washington Blvd., is no longer being considered for consolidation.
"We looked at the information gathered and determined that we would not pursue this consolidation," said USPS spokesman Robert Vunder.
The studies considered many things, including impacts to customer access, employees, cost savings, and service standards, along with reviews of the availability of alternate retail services, facility space, and other operational items.
While the Ogden Town Station will remain open, postal officials say it doesn't preclude future studies from taking place.
