PROVO — Police arrested a Fairview, Sanpete County, teenager who allegedly threatened his pregnant ex-girlfriend with knives as they sat in a car by Utah Lake.

The victim said her ex-boyfriend jumped into the back seat of her car as she left a Provo store Friday, according to a police affidavit filed Tuesday in 4th District Court.

The pair drove out to the lake, where he showed her two box cutters and a large kitchen knife and said he was going to kill her, police said.

When he saw the scared look on her face, he decided not to go through with it, the affidavit states.

He went on to say she was "lucky that she wasn't with anybody else because they would have been killed," and that he would have dumped her in the bushes and made police kill him, the affidavit says.

They eventually talked things out and the girl, who is carrying his baby, took him home, police said.

Erick Kendall Holt, 18, later turned himself in to police and was booked into jail for investigation of aggravated assault.
