FARMINGTON — The 15-story Ferris wheel at Lagoon amusement park has been dismantled for periodic general maintenance.
The ride is known as the Sky Scraper. Lagoon Vice President of Marketing Dick Andrew says the ride should return next spring.
Andrew says the park plans to replace some parts and bearings in the ride.
Andrew says it's common for the park to disassemble rides in the winter to conduct stress tests and refurbish them.
The park is currently open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for Frightmares, which runs through Halloween.
