PAYSON — A Payson High School student walking to an early-morning seminary class Friday was struck by a small sport-utility vehicle.

The boy, 15, was using the crosswalk near Payson Junior High School, 1025 S. state Route 198, about 6:30 a.m. when he was hit, said Payson Police Lt. Bill Wright.

The teen was taken by ambulance to Mountain View Medical Center. He was treated for minor injuries and later released, Wright said.

No charges have been filed against the 47-year-old Spring Lake man who was driving the SUV. Wright said the crash remains under investigation.
