The number of passengers at Salt Lake City International Airport rose in June, July and August after 14 months of declining numbers, airport officials said Monday.
The number of passengers in June was up 0.82 percent from a year earlier. The number in July rose 5.87 percent and August 3.85 percent from a year earlier. July had the highest total, at more than 2.1 million.
The number of take-offs and landings of scheduled commercial service also rose in July, by 2.12 percent year over year, and in August, by 2.08 percent.
Airport officials attributed the change partially to adjustments the airlines made in flight schedules. New markets were added in March and June.
