Hunter, Thomas win St. George Marathon

Iain Hunter of Provo edged Orem's Jeffrey McClellan by 58 seconds to win the men's division of the St. George Marathon on Saturday.

Salt Lake City's Julie Thomas won the women's race in 2:48:29. Petra M. Graen of Edmonton, Alberta, placed second (2:49:14). Rounding out the women's top five were Courtney Meldrum (2:50:00), Sarah Ingebretsen (2:50:41) and Rosanna Lee (2:50:41).

Hunter finished in a time of 2:21:03, followed by McClellan at 2:22:01. Seth A. Wold of Lehi was third (2:25:52), followed by Pepi Peterson (2:25:58) and Satoru Shimomura (2:26:10).
