GRANTSVILLE — The condition of a 2-year-old boy who was run over by a car Saturday improved Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The toddler's mother, Diana Price, was driving the full-size van that hit the boy, crushing his abdomen, Grantsville Police Lt. Steve Barrett said. The boy was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center. The incident occurred in a mobile-home park near 650 E. Main St. The boy, who was initially reported to be in critical condition, is in "good condition," Primary Children's spokeswoman Bonnie Midget said Sunday and was expected to be released from the hospital.
The toddler, identified by police as Walker Price, had been playing outside, and police said it appeared his mother didn't see him.
