GRANTSVILLE, Tooele County — A toddler was in critical condition after being run over in his driveway Saturday.
The boy's mother, Diane Price, was driving the full-size van that hit the child, crushing his abdomen, said Grantsville Police Lt. Steve Barrett. The boy was taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
The tot, identified by police as Walker Price, had been playing, and it appears that his mother didn't see him, according to police. The accident was under investigation Saturday and no charges had been filed.
The boy's legs and chest cavity were not hit, so he is expected to pull through, said Barrett.
The accident occurred in a mobile-home park near 650 E. Main at about 4 p.m.
