Scott Beck, president and chief executive officer of the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau, will be the speaker at a Utah Business Travel Association luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Hotel Monaco, 15 W. 200 South.
Beck will discuss travel to Salt Lake City and its surrounding areas and western regional travel trends in general. He will also lay out his vision for Salt Lake City's future in regards to the travel industry and upcoming conventions. In addition, there will be an update on "Downtown Rising" and the bureau's plan for promoting the project.
