Four Sandy residents were transported to a hospital for treatment of carbon-monoxide poisoning early Friday morning.
Sandy Fire Department crews arrived at about 10400 South and 465 East where tenants at a house were complaining of a possible natural-gas leak. An investigation determined that the four tenants, who were conscious, breathing and alert, had carbon monoxide in their systems.
Sandy Fire Capt. Robert DeKorver said the victims are expected to make a full recovery.
One tenant said she had noticed a weird smell in the air the previous day and woke up Friday morning with a headache.
Officials said they're not sure how long the natural gas had leaked but that it was a "significant exposure."
An investigation is under way.
