HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Air Force Reserve recruiters from the 419th Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base will host a mass enlistment ceremony for new members Saturday in the Hill Aerospace Museum.
Col. Walter "Buck" Sams, commander of the 419th, will swear in the new members in front of an audience of family and friends, beginning at 10:30 a.m. An F-16 Fighting Falcon will serve as a backdrop.
Recruiters, who have exceeded their recruiting goals for the past five years, hope to enlist at least 30 personnel during the ceremony.
Similar mass enlistment events are being held across Air Force Reserve Command to kick off the fiscal year 2010 recruiting season. The mass enlistments are held annually.
The 419th recruiters exceeded their recruiting goals for fiscal year 2009, enlisting 222 personnel, 139 percent of their goal.
