Adventist center dedication today
PROVO — Following several years of planning and the raising of nearly $1 million in funds from members of the congregation and community, Provo's Adventist Community Center, or PACC, will be dedicated today at 11 a.m. The location of the new center is 255 S. 700 East, Provo.
The public is welcome to attend the dedication, and there will be lunch served following the program.
The congregation is continuing to raise money to make payments on a loan and to provide for sporting equipment and other furnishings.
Blessing of animals in Centerville today
A "Blessing of the Animals" will be today, 2 p.m., at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1131 S. Main, Centerville. Church members and the public are invited to bring their caged or leashed pets for a blessing. A donation of cat or dog food for area shelters is also suggested.

The Silverado Senior Living Center at Aspen Park, 1430 E. 4500 South, will hold a "Blessings of the Animals" on today, 2-4 p.m. The public is invited to bring a pet, to be blessed by Silverado Hospice Chaplain David Pascoe.

St. Rose of Lima to dedicate new center
LAYTON — St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel St., will dedicate its new education and conference center, Sunday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m.
The center contains nine classrooms, offices, media and meeting rooms and a rotunda. This center replaces the church's original center, in operation since 1968.

General conference discussion Monday
An open discussion of LDS general conference topics and trends will be Monday, Oct. 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake Main Library, 210 E. 400 South.
Held in Conference Room A, the event is sponsored by the Mormon Alliance.
