The munitions branch of Alliant Techsystems (ATK) has been awarded another contract by the U.S. Army to supply various types of ammunition to security personnel working in Afghanistan.
The $105 million contract, which follows an $87 million deal in December 2008, has the potential value of $200 million, the company said in a news release issued Thursday.
ATK will be coordinating foreign manufacturers, overseeing the production and the delivery of small, medium and large-caliber ammunition as well as mortars and rocket-based ordnance.
