A Roosevelt woman was killed in a rollover Friday night in Duchesne County, officials said.

Shortly before 10 p.m., a northbound 1993 Ford Explorer driven by Elizabeth Wilson, 46, drifted off the right side of State Street near 2800 South, according to a news release from the Utah Department of Public Safety.

Wilson apparently overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll and eject her. She died at the scene.

Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash, and the odor of alcohol was present, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Rex Olsen.

It did not appear she was wearing her seat belt, the release said. A male passenger who was wearing his seat belt sustained no injuries.
