Pair to discuss book at 2 events

Bill Child, chairman of the board for R.C. Willey Home Furnishings, and author Jeff Benedict will discuss their new book at a pair of events next week.

The pair will speak about "How to Build a Business Warren Buffett Would Buy" from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Weber State University Davis Barnes Banking Lecture Hall (Room 110). That event and book-signing are free.

The presentation is part of the Ralph Nye Lecture Series presented by the John B. Goddard School of Business and Economics.

Child and Benedict also will speak from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the Miller Free Enterprise Center at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus. Admission ranges from $5 to $28. Registration can be completed at www.slcc.edu/mbic/biz?netconnect.asp or by calling 801-957-5200.
