The Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recently was selected as the best medium-sized chamber (fewer than 500 members) in the country.
The award was presented at the 2009 United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Hispanic Excellence in Leadership and Business Awards Gala in Denver.
More than 200 chambers nationwide were competing for the honor. It is the fourth consecutive year that the Utah chamber has won the best medium-sized regional chamber award. The selection panel included professionals with expertise in entrepreneurship and chamber management, as well as representatives from Fortune 500 companies and national nonprofit organizations.
