The Oratorio Society of Utah is holding "Messiah" auditions for all vocal parts on Sunday, Sept. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 4, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Auditions will take place at the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1580 E. Vine Street. Rehearsals will be Sundays at 4 p.m. from Sept. 27-Dec. 6.
The performance will be held in the Libby Gardner Concert Hall at the University of Utah on Saturday, Dec. 13.

The Bonneville Youth Orchestra will hold auditions Sept. 28 and 30 in the Val A. Browning Center at Weber State University.
Auditions begin at 4:30 p.m.
Young string, woodwind, brass and percussion musicians need to be prepared to perform a solo-repertoire piece between three and five minutes in length.
Strings should also perform a scale of their choice in three octaves. Woodwinds and brass need to perform a scale of their choice in two octaves.
Memorization of the pieces is not required.
