CROSS COUNTRY: Cameron Levins and Sharla Platt have been named the Men's and Women's Summit League Cross Country Athlete of the Week for their performances at the UC Riverside Invitational over the weekend. The cross country awards are the first for the Thunderbirds this season.
Levins was the top finisher for the Thunderbirds on the men's side, finishing in second place with a school-record time of 23:48.6 on the UC Riverside course. Manuele turned in a similar performance for the women, finishing as the top T-Bird with a seventh-place time of 17:09.5. Her time was also an SUU school record on the course.
The cross country team will be off this weekend as the team trains to compete at the Notre Dame Invitational during the first weekend of October.
