The Utah Capitol store is holding a contest to select four new T-shirt designs to be sold in the store.
The contest is open to all Utah high-school students. Designs should reflect the state Capitol or the various art pieces featured on Capitol Hill.
Contestants are encouraged to tour the building and create their own unique designs reflecting what it represents, signifies and symbolizes to them through an expression of art made for a T-shirt.
"The Utah State Capitol is one of the most noble, sophisticated buildings in the state," said Judith McConkie, capitol curator.
Designs should be submitted in PDF file, digital image, or hand drawn. Entries must be postmarked, e-mailed, or hand delivered before 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6.
Four winners will be chosen, and their designs will be used in the Capitol store. Winners will receive a T-shirt of their design and participate in a news conference held at the Capitol.
