NEW YORK (AP) — Lisa Ling, a former co-host of "The View," will be back as a guest co-host for two days next month.
ABC said Thursday that Ling will sit alongside Barbara Walters, Joy Behar (BAY'-hahr), Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd for the Oct. 5 and 6 broadcasts of the weekday talk show.
She'll sub for regular co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who's on maternity leave until mid-October.
Ling left "The View" in 2002 after three years as a regular. She's now a correspondent for "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and CNN. She returned as a guest co-host in 2003 and made three guest appearances in 2008.
Her sister, Laura Ling, was one of two journalists detained and released in August by North Korea.
