ROOSEVELT — A Roosevelt man has been charged with aggravated arson after investigators say he torched the camp trailer where his ex-girlfriend was living.
Dug Francis Nagel is accused of using an unidentified accelerant to set fire to the woman's camp trailer on Aug. 28.
Nagel, 38, allegedly failed field sobriety tests after witnesses spotted him leaving the scene of the fire, according to court records. He was booked for investigation of DUI.
Uintah County sheriff's detective Stephanie Cox said a police dog detected the presence of an accelerant on the burned-out trailer, on Nagel's clothes, on a glove in his vehicle and on the vehicle itself.
