Top passing performance

Drew Brees, Saints

Brees threw for 358 yards and six touchdowns — that's right, six. It was good enough to lead New Orleans to 45 points (although it was nine points fewer than what the Cougars scored in New Orleans on Saturday). Brees' six TDs tied Billy Kilmer's 40-year-old single-game franchise record.

Top rushing performance

Adrian Peterson, Vikings

Last season's rushing leader leads the league so far. Peterson made Brett Favre's job easier with three touchdowns and 180 rushing yards — 155 of which came in the second half.

Top receiving performance

Reggie Wayne, Colts

Peyton Manning's top target caught 10 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. He wasn't the only one to catch passes from Manning. Former BYU star and NFL rookie Austin Collie caught two passes for 15 yards.

Monday Night Football, Part 2

Chargers at Raiders, 8:15, ESPN

Big things are expected from San Diego in the weak AFC West and it gets things started by facing a team in disarray, the latest development the failure of DE Richard Seymour to report. San Diego's defense was banged up last year but is healthy now.
