A West Valley man who died early Sunday morning after being shot outside his home has been identified as Jose Venegas, 35.
Police received a call around 11:30 p.m. Saturday that a man had been shot in the torso at a home near 3200 West and Brookway Drive (2920 South). His wife was inside the home when she heard a gunshot and walked outside to find her husband shot, police said.
Venegas was flown to University Hospital in critical condition but died around 3 a.m.
West Valley police said they have no witnesses or suspects and the motive is still unknown.
