Free prostate screenings are being offered in Salt Lake and Utah counties this month, aimed at men who have a family history of prostate cancer or who are 50 and older or who either have no insurance or limited coverage.
Dates and locations are:
Sept. 8, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City.
Sept. 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Central Utah Clinic, 1055 N. 500 West, Suite 10, Provo. Call 801-812-5585 for an appointment.
Sept. 16, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Intermountain Medical Center, Murray.
Sept. 24, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Alta View Hospital surgical center, Sandy.
Those planning to attend the screenings should call 801-507-3800 for an appointment. Walk-ins will not be accommodated.
