A rear-end collision involving two tractor-trailer trucks has closed the northbound lanes of I-15 in Iron County.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the crash occurred when one truck slammed into the rear end of another truck near the Iron County-Beaver County line. Emergency crews are working to extricate the driver of the rear truck, said UHP spokesman Cameron Roden.
Roden said the driver's injuries do not appear to be serious.
Because there is no alternate route in the area, Roden said traffic is "stacking up" on the highway. Troopers hope to have at least one lane open within the hour, he said.
Roden did not know what cargo is being carried by either truck.
