The Salt Lake Chamber on Tuesday announced seven companies that will receive its Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility.
1-800 CONTACTS Inc., AAA Fair Credit Foundation, Christopherson Business Travel, Employer Solutions Group, Intermountain Financial Group/MassMutual, McKinnon-Mulherin Inc. and Utah Food Services are this year's recipients.
The awards will be presented Oct. 14 at the chamber's Work-Life Harmony Conference.
The award program is part of the "When Work Works" project, an ongoing initiative of Families and Work Institute, the Institute for a Competitive Workforce and the Twiga Foundation. Those organizations provide research, resources and recognition to employers nationwide.
