Regarding "Avoid scare tactics" by Dorothy Poulton (Readers' Forum, Aug. 28): A couple of weeks ago, I read through the Senate health-reform bill on the Internet. She is correct about euthanization. Medicare is not mentioned in the 615 pages, except for one paragraph providing for study of whether health reform reduces the percentage of 65-year-olds with chronic disease. On the other hand, there is a paragraph providing that the health-insurance companies return a percentage (at the discretion of the secretary of health) of the annual premium to the customers.
Do you believe any health-insurance company would want to stay in the business with that condition?
