MILLCREEK — Police still consider the death of a man found dead in his car Tuesday suspicious, despite an autopsy that showed no signs of trauma.
Leonard Burr, 66, was found in the passenger seat of his car in the parking lot of St. Mark's Hospital, near 1200 East and 3900 South. Police were unsure how the man died and were hoping an autopsy would provide more information, but the autopsy didn't reveal an obvious explanation.
"The autopsy showed no sign of trauma to explain the cause of death, so we'll have to rely on toxicology," said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson.
Investigators are considering the death suspicious due to the circumstances surrounding it, and Hutson said the detectives are "actively investigating who was with him prior to our finding him yesterday."
