It's good to see the Cash for Clunkers auto program end since it was a stimulus for the Asian automakers. Eight of the top 10 selling vehicles are made by Japanese and South Korean companies, with the Toyota Corolla the No. 1 selling car in the CFC program. The government reported that 48 percent of cars sold in the program came from the Asian companies. It's good that President Barack Obama and the Democrats were looking after the interests of our Asian allies. The sad thing is that you and I, the taxpayers, are paying for this fiasco. We are also paying for our neighbor's new car with a $4,500 bonus.
