The following DVDs will be released Tuesday, unless otherwise specified:

"Adventureland" (Miramax, $29.99) — ★★★ — An appealing — but raunchy — coming-of-age tale with a ring of truth to it.

R (profanity, vulgarity, drugs, violence, brief sex, slurs)

"American Son" (Miramax, $29.99) — Drama starring Nick Cannon as a U.S. Marine on holiday leave.

R (profanity, sex, drugs)

"Duplicity" (Universal, $29.98) — ★★★ — A fun but talky caper thriller pairing Julia Roberts and Clive Owen.

PG-13 (vulgarity, profanity, brief sex, violence, drugs, brief nudity, slurs)

"Goodbye Solo" (Lionsgate, $27.98) — ★★★— A character piece that, admittedly, takes some time to get where it's going.

Not rated, probable R (profanity, slurs, vulgarity, violence, brief drugs)

"Fighting" (Universal, $29.98) — ★★ — A silly, yet sometimes entertaining variation on the "Big Fight" movie formula.

Special features: Unrated version (also $29.98) includes footage cut from theatrical release.

PG-13 (violence, sex, profanity) — Roger Moore, The Orlando Sentinel

"The Informers" (Senator, $24.96) — ★ — A disastrous train wreck of a movie based on the Bret Easton Ellis story collection.

R (profanity, drugs, nudity, violence, vulgarity, sex, gore, slurs)

"My Weakness Is Strong" (WEA/Reprise, $14.98) — Standup comedy special featuring Patton Oswalt.

Special features: Includes CD version of comedy special.

Not rated, probable R (profanity, vulgarity, slurs)

"Rudo Y Cursi" (Sony, $28.96) — ★★ — This tone-deaf comedy-drama keeps trying to convince us it's lighthearted. Spanish with subtitles.

R (profanity, vulgarity, drugs, violence, slurs, sex, nudity)

"Sunshine Cleaning" (Overture/Anchor Bay, $29.98) — ★★1/2 — A confused muddle, with an inconsistent tone but some rewarding moments. Amy Adams stars.
