CEDAR HILLS — An 18-year-old Pleasant Grove man is jail after police say he and a friend held a 16-year-old girl down and tore off all her clothes.

Police say the man was driving in a car with two juvenile friends who kept trying to convince a 16-year-old girl to strip for them, according to a police affidavit filed in 4th District Court.

The girl continually told them no, but when they got to a home in Cedar Hills, the 18-year-old and one of the juveniles held her down and forcibly removed all of her clothes, police said.

The girl, who was fighting to get away, said the man was holding her down hard enough that it hurt her shoulders, according to the affidavit.

For nearly 20 minutes, the girl was held against her will, and she said she was terrified and humiliated, according to the affidavit.

When she finally broke away, police say, she tried to grab a blanket, but one of the males tackled her and took the blanket away.

Police said the girl ran into a bathroom where she hid for 30 minutes until the males left and she was able to call for help.

When police later contacted the adult male and one of the juveniles, they allegedly admitted to taking the victim's clothes off against her will.

The 18-year-old was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of kidnapping, forcible sex abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor on $10,000 cash-only bail.
