Day 10: The Utes practiced twice — in the morning at Rice-Eccles Stadium and in the early evening at the baseball field. "It was a good work day," said head coach Kyle Whittingham.

Standouts: Whittingham said that wide receiver DeVonte Christopher continued to improve and that defensive linemen Latu Hemuli, David Kruger and Koa Misi also performed well.

Injuries: Freshman defensive back Chris Washington will have season-ending shoulder surgery Thursday.

Next: The Utes have a closed scrimmage this morning at the stadium.
