A man heading west on I-80 near 7200 West rolled his Honda Accord numerous times and crashed into the median Monday afternoon, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Troopers were unsure what caused the crash, but said the driver, who was pinned inside the vehicle, was being transported to the hospital in fair condition.
Witnesses said the man's vehicle drifted right and the driver apparently overcompensated, causing the vehicle to roll when it touched the dirt in the median.
UHP spokesman Cameron Roden said a few lanes were closed at 3:30 p.m. He expected clean-up crews to take an hour to clear the site.
