In anticipation of the 2009 high school football season, the Deseret News is pleased to announce its second annual preseason all-state football team.
This team is a collection of the top 24 players in the state without regard to classification. Players were selected on a variety of factors including coaches input, 2008 all-state status and national recruiting service projections.
Of the 24 kids who were named to last year's Deseret News preseason all-state team, 18 were named first team all-staters in their respective classification's at the end of the 2008 season. Three were named to the second team.
