Cancer patients and their families are invited to attend a seven-week series of free "survivorship" classes at Intermountain Medical Center on Thursdays beginning Aug. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Topics include:
Aug. 20: Taking charge of your cancer and communication
Aug. 27: Planning for the future
Sept. 3: Emotional and sexuality issues
Sept. 10: Symptom management
Sept. 17: Insurance, financial and employment issues
Sept. 24: Pain management
Oct. 1: Diet and exercise
All classes will be held in the second-floor conference room at the Jon and Karen Huntsman Cancer Center at IMC, 5131 S. Cottonwood St. Participants are not required to attend all of the classes, but must be 16 or older. Light refreshments will be served. To register, call Jessica at 801-507-3800.
