BYU Education Week: Valuing gender differences

PROVO, Utah — The differences between men and women have been discussed by scientists and researchers ad nauseam, but rarely with the reverence each gender deserves, said social worker Carrie Wrigley at a Tuesday session of BYU's Education Week.

Wrigley's workshop covered the various contrasts in male, female dynamics, with particular emphasis on the importance of valuing members of the opposite sex FOR their differences, not in spite of them.

"There's probably never been a more important time to understand these differences," she said.

For most of human history, men and women have walked very different paths, but since they encounter each other more frequently in situations they used not to, they need to comprehend each other better.
