FARMINGTON — Davis County is encouraging residents to get active by participating in a 5K walk/run Saturday.
Coinciding with the last day of the Davis County Fair, the Davis County Walks event provides a competitive opportunity for seniors, adults and children.
There is no cost to enter for participants 60 years and older.
For the 59-and-under crowd, participation is $20 and includes a T-shirt and refreshments. Same-day registration is 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m., with the race at 7:30 a.m.
Children 12 and under may participate in a free fun run at 8:30 a.m. Those who complete the half-mile course will receive a medal. Preregistration is required.
Both races will be held at the Legacy Events Center, 151 S. 1100 West, Farmington.
